Our Staff

Wes Smith, Senior Pastor

The true greatest joy of my life is to enjoy a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ! He has blessed my life with indescribable treasures...my wife, my family and my church. One of my great hopes is that our church will gain a reputation for helping people discover their true purpose in life and to prepare to meet God in heaven! Significant changes and additions are taking place around our church.

Please navigate around our web site to gain a pretty good impression of who we are and what we are up to! My hope is that you will come away with a couple thoughts. First, that we really love children around here. And, second, that we are a growing fellowship of people committed to each other, committed to those who do not yet know Jesus and committed to giving thanks and praise to Almighty God for His presence, provision and protection! I look forward to getting to know you! Pastor Wes

Adam Jurhs, Youth Pastor

Pastor Adam has been on staff at Longview Nazarene since April 2006. He has spent the past 12 years serving in student ministry having served on staff at 2 churches before arriving at Longview Naz. As a pastor to students in 7th-12th grade it is always a challenge to remain relevant and have an impact on students.  They have entertainment and communication at their fingertips at all times now.  Adam is striving to connect with this generation and make sure that they connect with the One who has more to offer than their cell phone and their ipod ever could!

The Student Ministry here at Longview Naz is on a new journey. It is amazing to think of all that has happened in the time that Dena and I have been here at LCN. We’ve got great things headed our way - new areas of student ministry beginning, outstanding activities planned, and continued growth of our current ministry. It continues to weigh heavily on my heart to see some more folks step up into mentoring and leading our students into a deeper walk with Christ. Make sure you take a moment to click on the YOUTH link and check out our web pages. May God continue to guide, direct, push, pull, yank, and shove me into following His will and purpose for my life.

Pastor Adam
